Cancellation & Modification Policy

Applicable to all ECHOS bookings and reservations

 

 

1. Cancellation Policy — ECHOS Website Bookings

 

1.1  Self-Cancellation

Self-cancellation via the ECHOS website is the fastest and recommended method for processing booking modifications or cancellations. Notwithstanding the above, guests may also reach out to ECHOS's designated customer support channels for assistance, grievances, or clarification, where applicable. All cancellations and refunds remain subject to the applicable cancellation policy selected at the time of booking.

 

1.2  How to Cancel

All guests who have made their bookings directly through the ECHOS official website may log in to their registered account to initiate and complete cancellations independently. Upon cancellation, if a refund is opted to be credited to the ECHOS Wallet, the amount will be reflected instantly and may be utilised for future bookings or purchases, subject to applicable terms.

 

1.3  Standard Cancellation Schedule

Cancellations for Hostel, Coliving, Workation, F&B, and Concierge bookings (applicable for bookings made through 100% online payment or a combination of Wallet + Online Payment) shall be processed as per the schedule below:

1.4  Special Cancellation Policy — Up to 2 Days Before Check-In

This special cancellation policy applies only to the following selected ECHOS properties: Bam Rishikesh, Dalhousie, Dharamshala, Kufri, Lansdowne, Old Goa, and Wayanad. Cancellations for Hostel, Coliving, Workation, F&B, and Concierge bookings (applicable for 100% online payment or Wallet + Online Payment combinations) at these properties shall be processed as per the schedule below:

2. Cancellation Policy — Third-Party Platform Bookings

 

2.1  Platform-Managed Cancellations

Guests who have made reservations through third-party platforms or online travel agencies (including but not limited to Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, or similar channels) must contact the respective platform directly for any cancellation, modification, or refund requests. ECHOS does not have the authority to process, amend, or override cancellations for bookings made through external platforms.

 

2.2  Third-Party Terms Govern

All such requests shall be governed by the terms and conditions of the respective booking channel. ECHOS shall not be liable for delays, refusals, refund timelines, or policy decisions made by third-party platforms.

 

 

3. Modification Policy — Refundable Bookings

 

3.1  How to Modify

For partial modifications of refundable bookings (including date changes, room type adjustments, or reduction in number of nights), guests are advised to cancel the existing reservation and make a fresh booking. Any eligible refund may be credited to the ECHOS Wallet to facilitate a smooth and hassle-free rebooking process.

 

3.2  Wallet Credits & Rebooking

Guests are strongly encouraged to check availability for revised dates or room categories prior to initiating cancellation, as rebooking is subject to real-time inventory and prevailing rates. Please note the following regarding ECHOS Wallet credits:

 

(a) Wallet credits are optional and at the guest's discretion

(b) Credits are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash

(c) Credits are not redeemable against third-party bookings

(d) Wallet balances do not carry an expiry date, unless otherwise notified

 

All cancellations and modifications remain subject to the applicable booking and cancellation terms selected at the time of reservation.

 

 

4. Modification Policy — Non-Refundable Bookings

 

4.1  Non-Refundable Terms

For non-refundable reservations, cancellation is not permitted under any circumstances. Modification requests (excluding cancellations) may be considered only if submitted within sixty (60) minutes from the original booking confirmation time.

 

4.2  60-Minute Modification Window

Such requests shall be subject to availability, prevailing rates, and any applicable fare difference, which must be paid at the time of modification. Requests received after the 60-minute window shall not be entertained and the booking shall remain strictly non-refundable and non-modifiable. ECHOS reserves the sole discretion to approve or decline any modification request in accordance with this policy.
